Visitors are invited to tour several authentic pioneer structures, including a log cabin built
more than 100 years ago. Group tours and Special Events are welcome with reservations-Call now to book your Christmas and Holiday Parties. You may also tour the play house, a brick outhouse, and our "new" cedar cabin, built following Hurricane Katrina. These buildings are filled with fascinating antiques, tools, utensils, photographs, and authentic rope beds with patchwork quilts. Guests particularly enjoy the many original wood carvings by Nelda Mitchell—farm scenes, fauna, and wild life. Note: We regret that since the log cabins are authentic in design, they are not wheelchair accessible.
Our fields are maintained and cleaned for an optimal picking experience. Our U pick garden is almost like having a farm of your own. Bring your family to Mitchell Farms to pick:

We pick and sell a variety of vegetables fresh from the filed in season, including butterbeans, snap beans, peas, sweet corn, squash, cucumbers, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, watermelon, and cantaloupes. Please check our ripening calendar to see what's in season.
Mississippi PeanutsWe grow approximately 150-200 acres of peanuts!
Fresh green peanuts are available late July through November, and we have dried peanuts for sale from September on into December-as long as the supply lasts.
