Mitchell Farms is hosting the First Annual Mississippi Peanut Festival right here on our farm on October 1, which is also opening day of this year's exciting Pumpkin Patch.
The Festival will include:
Harvest Queen and King ContestWe will be crowning the Harvest Queen and King at this year's Mississippi Peanut Festival. Categories for ages 0-6, ages 7-up, photo contest, and boys division. Attire is your Sunday best or formal wear. This is a "natural" pageant, so please, no "flippers" or fake hair, and age appropriate makeup is allowed.
Awards include crowns, t-shirts, gift bags, and trophies.
Entry fee of $10 inclues entry to the pageant, the pumpkin patch, and events. Click here for more information and application form.
Sign up now for our 5K Run/walk to start out the day's celebrations. All pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt on race day; registrants on the day of the race will receive t-shirts as long as the supply lasts. New this year at the Pumpkin Patch: Mitchell Farm Express Train Ride, Big Slide, New Pavillion and bathrooms. Groups Welcome: we are now taking group reservations, and groups of 20 or more will receive $1 of on Sat and Sun through October.
